Glass fiber roving strand chopped to a specified length is used as reinforcing material in combination with
thermoplastic resins for injection molding. Depending upon the application, a strand may contain several
hundreds of monofilaments with diameters ranging from 10 µm to 13 µm. The cutting length is 3 mm.
Surfaces of monofilaments are specially coated with a suitable sizing which is compatible with the
thermoplastic resins.

Storage

Nittobo’s chopped strands should be stored in their original packaging.
The temperature should not exceed 35 ^oC and the relative humidity should be kept below 70 %.
